BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:

 

SECTION 1. Section 2-92-420 of the Municipal Code of Chicago is hereby amended by deleting the struck-through language as follows:

Fer-ealendar year 20Q0, a business-entity shall bo prosumod to bo an ostablished-businoss-if the business entity and its affiliates havo had annual avorage-gross-receipts in ox-eess-ef $27,500,000.00 over the previous three fiscal yoars. For calendar-year 2001 and boyondi this sum-shatr-be adjusted upwards or downwards by applying to it a rate equal to the Consumer Price Index for Urban Wa§e Earners and Clerical Workers (CPI W) published by tho United States-Bureau of Labor Statistics for that calendar year. Such adjustment shall be made for a given year in January of tho following year and shall remain in offoot for that givon year until the following year's adjustment is made. The chief procurement officer, aftor computing tho adjustment for a given year, shall cause the now sum as adjusted to be published for five
