TRIBUTE TO MICHAEL ANGELO GAGE. SR
 
 
WHEREAS. In His Infinite Wisdom, Almighty God has granted eternal rest to Michael Angelo Gage, Sr., an outstanding citizen and member of his community, on March 12, 2013; and
 
WHEREAS, Born on March 9, 1964 in Demopolis, Alabama, Michael was the beloved son of Sammie Gage, Sr. and Delores Gage; and
 
WHEREAS Michael married Dana Baker and their union was blessed with two children, Michael Gage Jr. and Nakale Gage. He worked at Methodist Hospital as a Mental Health Technician; and
 
WHEREAS, Michael entered into eternity to join with his father, Sammie Gage, Jr.; grandparents Ethel and Lafayette West, Sr.; aunt, Louisa McEwen; uncle, Lafayette West, Jr.; and cousin James Gage; and
 
WHEREAS, Michael leaves behind, to celebrate his memory and mourn his loss, his wife, Dana Gage; his son Michael Gage Jr.; daughter, Nakale Gage; mother Delores Gage; sisters, Jacqueline Ransom and Angela Gage; brothers, Sammie Gage III and Miguel Jones; aunt, Rosa West-McGrew; uncles Preston West and Tommy West as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends; and
 
WHEREAS, The Honorable Jason C. Ervin, Alderman of the 28th Ward, has informed this august body of the transition of Michael Angelo Gage, Sr.; now therefore
 
BE IT RESOLVED That we, the Mayor and members of the City of Chicago City Council, gathered together this 10th Day of April, 2013 AD, do hereby express our sincere sorrow upon learning of the passing of Michael Angelo Gage, Sr. and extend our deepest condolences to his family and the many persons whose lives he touched.
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented
