WHEREAS, Each year, the Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce hosts a gala Awards Luncheon honoring the Chamber's most outstanding businesses in four categories: Retailer of the Year, Hospitality Business of the Year, Personal or Professional Service Provider of the Year and an Excellence in Arts & Culture Award; and
WHEREAS, The 2013 Hospitality Business of the Year Award goes to the Hotel Lincoln. This most recent iteration of the venerable and iconic hostelry on the edge of Lincoln Park, opened completely refurbished by Joie de Vivre Hospitality in 2011, features polished, yet approachable service in a genuine community environment; and
WHEREAS, The Hotel Lincoln offers a destination spot for visitors just steps from the Lincoln Park Zoo, Green City Market, walking paths, and open spaces that epitomize this Chicago neighborhood. Stunning views can be found from the hotel's rooftop lounge and quality guest rooms have a uniquely urban-meets-neighborhood feel; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Michele Smith, Alderman of the 43rd Ward, has apprised this august body of the noteworthy honor bestowed upon this iconic Lincoln Park neighborhood hospitality business; now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council gathered together this 10th Day of April, 2013 AD, do hereby salute the Hotel Lincoln and its staff on the occasion of this prestigious award and extend our very best wishes for continuing success for many more decades to come.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to the Hotel Lincoln.
