Resolution
WHEREAS, Ray Banak passed away on March 13, 2013; and
WHEREAS, The City of Chicago City Council has been notified of his passing by The Honorable Harry Osterman, Alderman of the 48th Ward; and .
WHEREAS, Born in Chicago, Ray Banak was a resident of Edgewater for many years. Beloved husband of Wendy R. (nee Hallford] for 25 years; loving father of Katy, Raymond, Jenny and Charlie; dear son of Barbara A. and the late Ray P. Banak; fond brother.of Mary (Toby] Perry, Mark Banak and Lucy (Ed] Cabrales; dear son-in-law of Eleanore and Walter Hallford; brother-in-law of Jill (Scott] Alexander; and uncle many loving nieces and nephews. He was born and raised in the St. Ita's parish, was a devoted coach and board member of Elk Grove Youth Football, and a 32 year member of United Steel Workers Union Local #17.
WHEREAS, A great friend to man}', Ray Banak's memory will be deeply cherished and his long life will be celebrated; therefore ■
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, The Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this day of April 10, 2013, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Ray Banak and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and-
BE IT FURHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ray Banak
