MEMORIAL RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, God in His Infinite Wisdom has called Elliott Hundrea Wilson, most beloved citizen to his eternal reward, March 5, 2015; and
WHEREAS, This august body has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Deborah L. Graham, Alderman ofthe 29th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Born on May 26, 1954 to the union of Mary Wilson Tyus and Millard Wilson in Jackson, Tennessee. Elliot, the eldest of four sons, was a very loving and dedicated son, brother and grandson; and
WHEREAS, The family moved to Chicago, Illinois, where Elliott received his education from the Chicago Public Schools; and
WHEREAS, For twenty two years, Elliott operated a forklift and for the past seventeen years was employed by Jewel Osco Foods; and
WHEREAS, Elliott enjoyed conversations with his late granny and his mom whom he adored. He would say "I have a great mama". His hobbies were the love of trains and buses. His Favorite T.V. Show was "Leave It To Beaver"; and
WHEREAS, Marcus leaves to cherish his memory: a loving mother, Mary Wilson Tyus; father, Millard I. Wilson; six brothers, Gregory (Barbara) Wilson, Rodney Wilson of Chicago, Illinois, Eric Wilson, Leon Phillips Jr., Kevin Wilson of Rockford, Illinois and Marion L. Tyus of Mundelein, Illinois; four sisters, Teresa Phillips, Gloria Phillips of Rockford, Illinois, Beverly Sockwell and Vernetta (Nathaniel) Harris of Las Vegas, Nevada; one great-aunt, Willie B. Flournoy and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and Christian Family members; and
WHEREAS, A cherished friend and supportive family member to all, Elliott Hundrea Wilson will be deeply missed but the remembrance of his character, skill and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved him; now, therefore,
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this fifteenth day of April, 2015 A.D., do hereby commemorate Elliott Hundrea Wilson for his many lifetime contributions and do hereby extend to his family and many friends our sincere condolences.
Be It Further Resolved, that a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to the family of Elliott Hundrea Wilson.
