Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Chicago:

SECTION 1. Permission and authority are hereby given and granted to ROSCOE'S TAVERN LTD, upon the terms and subject to the conditions of this ordinance to maintain and use, as now constructed, seven (7) Step(s) on the public right-of-way adjacent to its premises known as 3354-56 N. Halsted St

Said Step(s) at N. Halsted Street measure(s):

One (1) at seven point five (7.5) feet in length, and point six seven (.67) feet in width for a total of five point zero three (5.03) square feet.

One (1) at six point six seven (6.67) feet in length, and point six seven (.67) feet in width for a total of four point four seven (4.47) square feet.

One (1) at seven point three three (7.33) feet in length, and one point one seven (1.17) foot in width for a total of eight point five eight (8.58) square feet.

Said Step(s) at W. Roscoe Street measure(s):

One (1) at seven point seven five (7.75) feet in length, and two point two seven (2.27) feet in width for a total of seventeen point five nine (17.59) square feet.

One (1) at three point three three (3.33) feet in length, and one point zero eight (1.08) foot in width for a total of three point six (3.6) square feet.

Said Step(s) at Public Alley measure(s):

One (1) at three point two five (3.25) feet in length," and two point five eight (2.58) feet in width for a total of,eight point three nine (8.39) square feet.

One (1) at four point zero eight (4.08) feet in length, and three (3) feet in width for a total of twelve point two four (12.24) square feet.

The location of said privilege shall be as shown on prints kept on file with the Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection and the Office of the City Clerk.

Said privilege shall be constructed in accordance with plans and specifications approved by the Department of Transportation (Division of Project Development).

This grant of privilege in the public way shall be subject to the provisions of Section 10-28-015 and all other required provisions of the Municipal Code of Chicago.

The grantee shall pay to the City of Chicago as compensation for the privilege #1139469 herein granted the sum of two thousand eight hundred ($2,800.00) per annum in advance.

A 25% penalty will be added for payments received after due date.

The permit holder agrees to hold the City of Chicago harmless for any damage, relocation or replacement costs associated with damage, relocation or removal of private property caused by the City performing work in the public way.

Authority herein given and granted for a period of five (5) years from and after 04/02/2019.

The applicant referenced above has requested the use of the public right-of-way for a step(s). An ordinance has been prepared by the Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection - Small Business Center -Public Way Use Unit for presentation to the City Council. Because this request was made for properties located in your ward, as approved by you as per the attached, 1 respectfully request that you introduce the attached ordinance at the next City Council meeting.
