RESOLUTION

 

WHEREAS, Joan M. Trentz has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 84 to her eternal reward; and

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Alderman of the 11th Ward; and

 

WHEREAS, Joan M. Trentz nee Ryan, a lifelong resident of Chicago-Canaryville neighborhood and parishioner of St. Gabriel, passed away peacefully into eternal life on Sunday, December 12, 2021. Devoted wife ofthe late Donald "Dutch" Trentz; dearest mother to the late John (Eileen), Danny, the late Denise Ramey, Valerie (Kevin) Moss, Charles (Linda), Donna (Daniel) Bracken, and Laurie (Bryan) Patrone; cherished grandmother to Steve, Vinnie (USMC), Dana, Melissa, Tom, Jolene, Jeremy, Donald, the late Kevin, Joshua, Justin, Catherine, Kelly, Kyle, Denise,and Jarrod; great-grandmother to twenty one and great-great grandmother to one; loving sister to the late Rose (Jack) Maher, the late James (late Peg) Ryan (CFD), the late Betty (Ray) Johnson, the late Larry Ryan and the late John (Bern) Ryan; fond sister-in-law to the late Marion (Sis Trentz) Harris, Mickey (Tom, CPD) Cichy, Margaret Zawacki, the late Carol Bently, the late Nancy Trentz and the late John Joe Trentz; fond aunt to many nieces and nephews, and her faithful canine companion, Beckham; also survived by her lifelong friend Helene Hadeler; and

 

WHEREAS, Joan loved spending time with her family, traveling, shopping, reading books on her kindle, and listening to music...especially Fleetwood Mac. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, who will be deeply missed and never forgotten; and

 

WHEREAS, Her love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Joan M. Trentz to her family members, friends and all who knew her, and enabled her to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore

 

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor arid members ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago gathered here this twenty-six of January 2022, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Joan and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Joan.
