RESOLUTION CONGRATULATIONS TO ELDER WILLIAM A. ELLIS, JR.
WHEREAS, On Saturday, May 6, 2017, family, friends and faithful followers will gather at Apostolic Pentecostal Church of Morgan Park for the Sacred Installation of Pastor William A. Ellis jr. and welcome him of this great edifice and ministry; and
WHEREAS, This esteemed body has been informed of tins momentous occasion by the Honorable Carrie M. Austin, Alderman of the 34rh Ward; and
WHEREAS, Elder Ellis, affectionately called "Pastor Bill", has served as youth pastor, fellowship organizer and now Pastor of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church of Morgan Park. The divine convictions and tutelage he received under the loving eyes of his father, Bishop William A. Ellis, Sr., has given him an indelible impression on his life; and
WHEREAS, Elder William A. Ellis Jr. was born on May 30, 1977 in San Antonio, Texas, the fourth son of Bishop William and Lady Mary P. Ellis. Elder Ellis is the loving, devoted husband of Kellen Denise Ellis and doting father of two adorable daughters, Eden and Amry Ellis; and
WHEREAS, Elder Ellis currently holds a certificate from L.A. Recording and Musicians Institute of Technology. He also completed studies at Trinity International University and Moody Bible Institute; and
WHEREAS, A man with a passionate vision for the work of the Lord, Elder Ellis stands out as a profound and prolific speaker of God's word. His expanded outlook on life and ability to communicate with people is a definite asset to the body of Christ; and
WHEREAS, Elder Ellis' will be energetically devoting his efforts to provide spiritual guidance, inspiring faith and enrich the lives of his faithful members of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church of Morgan Park. His ministry is not about followers but about creating leaders in the Gospel; and
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, assembled this nineteenth day of April, 2017, do hereby express our congratulations to Pastor William A. Ellis, Jr. on being installed as Pastor of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church of Morgan Park, and extend our best wishes on his new leadership position; and
