TRIBUTE TO PAUL C. MOORE
WHEREAS, In His Infinite Wisdom, Almighty God has granted Paul C. Moore birth into eternity on March 13th, 2011; and
WHEREAS, Paul C. Moore was born July 1, 1931 to Paul and Mary Moore. He was raised in the south side and attended St. Kilian's grammar school. Attending St. Ignatius high school gave him the opportunity to meet boys from all over the area. He formed a lifelong bond with his high school and became an ardent supporter and generous donor to the school.
WHEREAS, Paul C. Moore was the first in his family to attend college. He studied at Loyola University Chicago until his education was interrupted by being drafted to the army. After he was honorably discharged from the army, he went back to Loyola and majored in history. He taught in a Catholic school for s short period of time.
WHEREAS, Paul C. Moore began his government career as a Juvenile Probation Officer with Cook County. Paul was promoted to counselor and soon became a manager with the Bureau of Employment. In 1975, He came to the Illinois Public Aid as an office manager and in 1977, he became an Assistant Local Administrator at Woodlawn. He ran the largest Welfare office in the state of Illinois until he retired in 1992 with 27 years of
WHEREAS, Paul C. Moore loved to travel around the world and one of his favorite places was Mexico. He was the most generous and caring man that you can meet. He would lighten up the room with only his presence. He gave his time, talents and treasure to help his family and everyone he knew.
WHEREAS, This august body has been informed of the passing of Paul C. Moore by the Honorable Thomas Tunney Alderman ofthe 44th Ward; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members ofthe City of Chicago City Council, assembled on this 13 th Day of April 2011 AD, do hereby express our sincere sorrow at the passing of Paul C. Moore and extend our deepest condolences to his family and all those whose lives he touched.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to the family of Paul C. Moore.
