TRIBUTE TO ANTHONY L. FOSCO
WHEREAS, In His Infinite Wisdom, Almighty God has granted eternal peace to Anthony L. Fosco, an outstanding public servant and member of his community, on June 24,2011; and
WHEREAS, Anthony Fosoo served as an officer of the Chicago Police Department Hot almost four decades, having been assigned to the 21" District and the 2nd District where until 1996 when he became a part of Mayor Richard M. Daley's security detail. He was one of Chicago's most highly respected and decorated officers and had garnered an outstanding record of achievement. In addition to his exceptional career as a Chicago policeman, he appeared as one in the 1991 movie The Fugitive; and
WHEREAS, An amateur pugilist of some note, Anthony Fosco started out boxing at the age of 18 and his passion for the sweet science continued throughout his life. Aside from possessing a greet personal knowledge of the sport, he had amassed one of the largest collection of rare and vintage boxing films and photographs; and

WHEREAS, Anthony Fosco leaves behind to mourn his loss and celebrate his memory his family and many admiring friends. He was the beloved husband of Kathryn May, and the caring father of Nicole, Anthony, Daniel and Dominic; the son of the late Nicholas and Rose Fosco; the brother of Rose Sicitiano and the late Nicholas as well as Sabatino Fosco; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable James Balcar, Alderman of the 11th Ward, has informed this august body of the passing Anthony L.; Fosco; now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED That we, the Mayor and the members of the City of Chicago City Council, gathered together this 6th day of July, 2011 AD, do hereby express our sincerest sorrow upon learning of Anthony L, Fobco's passing and extend our deepest condolence to his loving family and all those whose lives he touched.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That suitable copies of this resolution be prepared and presented to the family of Anthony L. Fosco. —.
