S. Kedzie Avenue and W. 43rd Street; Two (2) Way Stop Sign. Not Recommended, S. Kedzie Avenue designated as a minor arterial roadway with vehicle volumes much greater than those on W. 43rd Street, CDOT does not recommend Stop Sign on major streets because they increase the frequency of rear end collisions, divert traffic to local streets, create a false sense of security for pedestrians, and increase air and noise pollution, Project Development, CDOT does not support installing stop signs at S. Kedzie Avenue and 43rd Street -- (14-01299477) [Or2014-382]
S. Kedzie Avenue and W. 56th Street; Two (2) Way Stop Sign - (14-01300566) [Or2014-383]
N. Keeler Avenue and W. Cornelia Avenue; Stop Sign. Not Recommended, W. Cornelia Avenue terminates at N. Hamlin Avenue with an alley continuing on the other side of W. Cornelia Avenue, both streets are One-Way, CDOT does not recommend installing Stop Signs only to calm traffic, Stop Signs should not be installed at intersections with no conflicting movements as drivers are much more likely to ignore them, CDOT is opposed to installing a Stop Sign on N. Keeler Avenue at W. Cornelia Avenue, Project Development and CDOT does not support installing a Stop Sign -(15-00005245) [Or2014-533]

Kimball Avenue is a major collector roadway, CDOT does not recommended Stop Signs on major streets because they increase the frequency of rear- end collisions, divert traffic to local streets, create a false sense of security for pedestrians, and increase air noise pollution, CDOT conducted a traffic analysis that outlined traffic safety alternatives to Stop Signs, drivers would roll through Stop Signs on N. Kimball Avenue at W. Waveland Avenue and they would also back up southbound traffic into N. Elston Avenue, Project Development and CDOT does not support installing Stop Signs at this location - (14-01741126 ) [Or2014-434]
