MEMORIAL RESOLUTION

 

WHEREAS, God in His Infinite Wisdom has called Marsolino White, most beloved citizen to his eternal reward, September 22, 2015; and

 

WHEREAS, This august body has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Carrie M. Austin, Alderman of the 34th Ward; and

WHEREAS, Born on December 23, 1986 to the union of his precious and devoted parents, William White and Minnie Pearl Cage in Chicago, Illinois. Marsolino accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church. He later joined the Nation of Islam where he continued the will of Allah (God); and

WHEREAS, Marcy, as known by his family and friends, was very strong willed and spirited who loved life and people. He had an infectious smile that would light up the world. He showed patience and courage. He met no strangers as he would give the shirt off of his back if needed. He loved the finer things in life, especially a great steak; and

WHEREAS, Marcy leaves to cherish his memory his loving, supportive and devoted parents, mother, Minnie Pearl Cage, father, William White; stepfather, Robert Collins; grandfather, Albert Buckley; three brothers, Goldee Cage, Rashad (Ericka) Muhammad, and Durrell (Sabrina) Cage; five sisters, Shelax Davis, Dororthy (Dennis) Franklin, Shilas, Felicia (Richard) Warner and Silvonas (Richmond) Joyner along with a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends especially, Leatrice Buggs. Marsolino is preceded in death by his brother, John Cage, niece, Shelontay Jackson, grandmother, Ada Williams and nephew, Coty Jackson and

WHEREAS, Marcy touched the lives of all who knew him through his kindness, generosity, and his spirit. He will be deeply missed, but the memory of his character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved him, now, therefore,

Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this twenty-eighth of October, 2015 A.D., do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Marsolino "Marcy" White and express to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and

 

Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to the family of Marsolino "Marcy" White, as a token of our honor, gratitude and respect.
