MS. ESTELLA RIVERS GOOLSBY
WHEREAS, the beautiful Ms. Estella Rivers Goolsby was called home by the Great I AM on Monday, October 16, 2017, "Come for I have prepared a place specifically for you. A mansion the size of a city designed with rubies, flawless diamonds and exquisite pearls." Soon thereafter, a teardrop fell from her eyes and her soul immediately connected with Jesus. Ms. Estella Rivers Goolsby children that preceded her in death Pilar and Michael stood by Heaven's Gate shouting, Mom's Home!
WHEREAS, many people will remember Ms. Estella Rivers Goolsby for her poise and beautiful smile; some of her closest friends and family will reflect on the nights she wept and prayed them through their most difficult times; and
WHEREAS, the bible says, "A wise woman builds a house but a fool plucks it down with words." Without reluctance, we can testify that Ms. Estella Rivers Goolsby taught everyone the value of showing respect towards one another and the necessity of being ready to forgive people seventy times seven; and
WHEREAS, we will miss her living room debates about politics, education and community activism more importantly we will miss her southern cooking and listening to her sing her favorite songs at every family gathering; and
WHEREAS, we cried many nights for the life of Ms. Estella Rivers Goolsby, we know that God's plan will always supersede our own. So today, let us not say good-bye to Ms. Estella Rivers Goolsby but instead stand and say in unison, "God we are grateful for your presence in the midst of our grief; one day we will embrace your comfort and our hearts will be showered with your peace." As we continue to stand united we hope our lives resemble the legacy of Ms. Estella Rivers Goolsby; and
