BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF CHICAGO:

 

SECTION 1. Section 10-20-430 of the Municipal Code of Chicago, the Commissioner of Transportation is hereby authorized and directed to exempt GoPuff of 1347 South Ashland Avenue from the provisions requiring barriers as a prerequisite to prohibit alley ingress and egress to parking facilities located at premise address.

 

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.

Please accept this letter as a show of support for GB License d/b/a goPuff and their request for exemption from the ordinance requiring physical barriers at the boundary of their property located at 1347 S. Ashland.

 

I will introduce the alley ingress/egress ordinance necessary for this authorization at the next City Council meeting, scheduled for Wednesday, March 13, 2019. I expect it to go to the committee, be passed at the subsequent Council meeting, and permits to be issued "pending passage" ofthe ordinance.
