WHEREAS, God in His Infinite Wisdom has called Boris Nikolas Nitchoff, most beloved citizen and friend to his community, to his eternal reward on Tuesday, September 13, 2016; and

 

WHEREAS, This esteemed body has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Alderman Carrie M. Austin of the 34th Ward and Chairman of the Committee on the Budget and Government Operations; and

WHEREAS, Boris Nikolas Nitchoff was born on May 30, 1999 in La Grange, Illinois to the union of his precious and devoted parents, Kathy Nitchoff and Constantino Nitchoff; and

WHEREAS, A senior taking pride in his academics, Boris filled the halls of Lemont High School with eagerness to aid, whether holding a door open for a teacher, rushing to pick up dropped books, or helping a fellow student. Devoted to his studies Boris often stayed after school to help in the lab or for extra assistance with physics homework. Known for his thoughtful spirit and inviting personality, which is a credit to his loving and supportive parents. In addition, Boris attended St. John's Northwestern Military Academy, a private all male college preparatory and leadership development school for students grades 7-12; and

WHEREAS, Boris a kind young man, always sported a smile and willing to help in any way. An ambassador of "People to People International", he developed an understanding and friendship through educational, cultural and humanitarian activities among people of different countries and diverse cultures. He relished sharing his experience with other youths and encouraged their involvement; and

WHEREAS, A talented and dedicated athlete at heart, he enjoyed sports such as; soccer, hockey and snowmobiling as a winter hobby; and

WHEREAS, Boris leaves to cherish his memory, adoring parents, Kathy and Constantino Nitchoff; two brothers, Stefan Nitchoff and Alex Nitchoff; doting grandparents, Olga and Boris Nitchoff, along with a host of extended family and friends; and

WHEREAS, His passing leaves us all with profound sense of loss and tragedy. Throughout life, Boris touched the hearts of all who knew him through his generous and loving soul. He will be deeply missed but the memory of his character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew him. Despite our sorrow, we will continue to preserve and glorify Boris's life; and

WHEREAS, The Bible instructs us "Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal." I pray this will be especially true for your family as you mourn this incredible loss. May the Nitchoff Family be comforted by the many gifts and outpouring of love. God bless and keep you in His embrace; now, therefore

 

 

Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago gathered here this first of November, 2016, do hereby express our sorrow on the passing of Boris Nikolas Nitchoff and extend to his family our sincere condolences; and
