SUBSTITUTE ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:
SECTION L The City Comptroller is directed to install parkingmeters at the following locations:
•   2800 block of South Wabash, both sides of the street
SECTION 2. Section 9-64-205 of the Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding the language underscored and by deleting the language struck through as follows:
9-64-205 Parking Meter Rates
Notwithstanding any prior ordinance establishing a different rate, the rates for parking in a parking meter zone or space or city-owned lot comprised of parking meters that are controlled by the department of revenue or subject to any concession agreement approved by the city council for operation, maintenance, improvement, installation, and removal of, and collection of fees from, certain designated meters, shall be as follows:

  1. Except as provided in subsections (d) and (e), within all areas of the City, except for areas within the boundaries designated in subsections (a) and (b) of this section, the fee shall
be:

  1. Within any area where a parking meter operates 24 hours per day, between the hours of 9 p.m. and 8 a.m., the rate shall be fifty percent of the applicable rate set forth in subsections (a), (b), and (c) above and subsection (e) below.

  1. Notwithstanding the above, the rates shall be:
(1) at the following locations, the rate shall be $.50 per hour through and including December 31, 2009; $1.00 per hour on and from January 1,2010 through an including December 31,2010; $1.50 per hour on and from January 1,2011 through and including December 31,2011; $1.75 on and from January 1, 2012 through and including December 31, 2012; and $2.00 per hour on and from January 1,2013 and thereafter:
  1. The 100,200, and 300 blocks of E. 47th Street;
  2. The 0 block of W. 35* Street;
  3. The 3500 block of 5. State Streets' The 0 and 100 blocks of E. 35,h Street;
  1. The 0 and 100 blocks of E. 51* Street; and
  2. The 5000 and 5100 blocks of S. Federal Avenue.

(3) at the following location, the rate shall be $50 per hour:
3.7 The 2800 block of S. Wabash, both sides of the street

SECTION 3. Section 9-3$-206 of the Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding the language underscored and by deleting the language struck through as follows:
9-44-206 Parking meters - hours of operation
Notwithstanding any prior ordinance establishing different hours of operation, the hours of operation for a parking meter shall be as follows:

(e) Notwithstanding the days and hours of operation in subsections (a), (b), (c), and (d) of this section, parking meters shall operate:
 
(1) From 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
on Sunday at:
  1. The 4500 block of S. Ashland Avenue;
  2. The 0 block of E. Cullerton Street;
  3. The 1900 block of S. Archer Avenue;
3.4      The 1800 and 1900 blocks of S. State Street;
  1. The 100,200, and 300 blocks of E. 47th Street; and
  2. The 1800 and 1900 blocks of S. Wabash Avenue.

(3) From 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday:
  1. The 2800 block of S. Wabash Avenue, both sides of the street
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage and approval.
