CELEBRATING THE LIFE OF A REMARKABLE MAN TITUS J. ALLEN. SR.
WHEREAS, Titus J. Allen, Sr., was .called home by God on a day that none of us seated in this place wanted to.accept. Titus was a longtime business owner of Time Out Lounge in the heart of the 21st Ward. He was the type of man that believed in serving community residents above himself. Without hesitation, I can say eveiyone who encountered Titus appreciated him being apart of their inner-circle. So today, I take great comfort in knovying Titus is in Heaven serving alongside of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; and
WHERE AS, I considered him to be my friend, a voice of reason in the midst of a polilical climate and a man of integrity in every'chaotic situation. Titus allowed God to use him in ways that I never imagined. He excelled in teaching men eyeiy where young and mature to be strong in thejfaith, walk in confidence and handle their matters with a spirit of excellence; and
WHEREAS, outside of His time serving as an astute business' advocate.for people in this unpredictable world, Titus J. Allen, Si', loved spending time with his family, dining at:some of Chicago's, finer restaurants as he partook in delicious meals of his choice along with selling aside moments to laugh and joke about matters that would bring tears to your eyes. Mr. Titus J. Allen, Sr;, was an. admirable professional, husband, father and more importantly a man that Was created in the image and the likeness of God; and
WHEREAS, it is only apropos to say that every letter in his first name, Titus stood for something: T stands for Trustworthy, he was someone that you could count oh above others. I stands for Intellectual, he was well-versed in newsworthy events; T stands for Thankful, he always appreciated the support of community residents; U stands for Upstanding we can all attest to the fact that he was a notable^gentleman; and S stands for Sincere; he cared for people in ways people will remember all of their days; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the Mayor and members ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago will gather on Tuesday, September 21, 2022, A.D. to express our sincere condolences in the passing of this-amazing leaderTitus J. Allen, Sr., and extend to his; family and friends our continual, prayers; and
