RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING DENNIS HAMMER ON HIS RETIREMENT

 

WHEREAS, Dennis Hammer, pillar ofthe 39th Ward community, retires as Senior Vice President and Regional Director of Wintrust Bank after 17 years; and

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of this joyous occasion by the Honorable Samantha Nugent, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and

WHEREAS, A true Chicagoan, Dennis graduated from Lane Tech College Prep High School in Chicago's Roscoe Village neighborhood and then earned a Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Science from National Lewis University and a Graduate Certificate in Bank Management from the Graduate School of Banking; and

 

WHEREAS, Dennis has had a successful and extensive career throughout the Chicagoland banking world, which has included tenures at First Chicago, Citibank, and LaSalle Bank, performing in various areas of retail banking and operations; and

WHEREAS, Dennis has lead by example though service as President ofthe Sauganash Chamber of Commerce, President of the Sauganash Community Association, Board Member of the Peterson and Pulaski Business and Industrial Council, Past President of the Lane Tech Alumni Association, a member of the Swedish Hospital Patient/Family Advisory Council, and a Board Member and Past President of Chicago Ballet Arts, Chairman ofthe Corporate Board of Directors ofthe Albany Park Community Center and a Member ofthe Queen of All Saints Finance Council; and

 

WHEREAS, Dennis' professional accomplishments and civic service is only eclipsed by his beautiful and loving family with his wife Sandra and children, Bradley and Stephanie; and

 

WHEREAS, Dennis' invaluable wisdom, insight, and guidance, helped the community flourish and the neighbors ofthe 39th Ward would like to thank him and congratulate him on his retirement; now, therefore

 

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and Members ofthe City,Council ofthe City of Chicago, assembled this twenty-third day of March, 2022, do hereby extend to Dennis Hammer our sincerest congratulations, deepest gratitude, and wish for his success in all his future endeavors; and
