Be It Ordained by the City Council ofthe City of Chicago:
SECTION 1. Permission and authority are hereby given and granted to Northwestern University, upon the terms and subject to the conditions of this ordinance to construct, install, maintain and use seventeen (17)Caisson(s) underthe public right-of-way adjacent to its premises known as 303 E. Superior St
Said Caisson(s) at E. Superior Street measure(s):
Five (5) at one (1) foot in length, and six (6) feet in width for a total of thirty (30) square feet. Said caissons shall be approximately ninety-five (95) feet six (6) inches below grade level.
Said Caisson(s) at E. Huron Street measure(s):
Seven (7) at one (1) foot in length, and six (6) feet in width for a total of forty-two (42) square feet. Said caissons shall be approximately ninety-four (94) feet below grade level.
Two (2) at one (1) foot in length, and nine (9) feet in width for a total of eighteen (18) square feet. Said caissons shall be approximately forty-five (45) feet two (2) inches below grade level.
Three (3) at one (1) foot in length, and six (6) feet in width for a total of eighteen (18) square feet. Said caissons shall be approximately eighty-nine (89) feet below grade level.
The location of said privilege shall be as shown on prints kept on file with the Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection and the Office ofthe City Clerk.
Said privilege shall be constructed in accordance with plans and specifications approved by the Department of planning and Development and Department of Transportation (Office of Underground Coordination).
This grant of privilege in the public way shall be subject to the provisions of Section 10-28-015 and all other required provisions of the Municipal Code of Chicago.
The grantee shall pay to the City of Chicago as compensation for the privilege #1119326 herein granted the sum of four hundred ($400.00) per annum in advance.
A 25% penalty will be added for payments received after due date.
The permit holder agrees to hold the City of Chicago harmless for any damage, relocation or replacement costs associated with damage, relocation or removal of private property caused by the City performing work in the public way.
