Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Chicago:
SECTION 1. Permission and authority are hereby given and granted to METROPOLITAN LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY, upon the terms and subject to the conditions of this ordinance to maintain and use, as now constructed, nine (9) Caisson(s) under the public right-of-way adjacent to its premises known as 215 W. Washington St
Said Caisson(s) at W. Washington Street measure(s):
One (1) at eight point three seven (8.37) feet in length, and one point four six (1.46) foot in width for a total of twelve point two two (12.22) square feet.
One (1) at eight point three three (8.33) feet in length, and one point five (1.5) foot in width for a total of twelve point five (12.5) square feet.
One (1) at nine point two one (9.21) feet in length, and one point nine one (1.91) foot in width for a total of seventeen point five nine (17.59) square feet.
One (1) at nine point nine five (9.95) feet in length, and two point three three (2.33) feet in width for a total of twenty-three point one eight (23.18) square feet.
One (1) at ten point two five (10.25) feet in length, and two point five (2.5) feet in width fora total of twenty-five point six three (25.63) square feet.
One (1) at eight point one seven (8.17) feet in length, and one point nine one (1.91) foot in width for a total of fifteen point six (15.6) square feet.
Said Caisson(s) at W. Calhoun Place measure(s):
One (1) at nine point one two (9.12) feet in length, and three (3) feet in width for a total of twenty-seven point three six (27.36) square feet.
One (1) at six point zero eight (6.08) feet in length, and one point two nine (1.29) foot in width for a total of seven point eight four (7.84) square feet.
Said Caisson(s) at W. Washington measure(s).
One (1) at thirty-eight point three three (38.33) feet in length, and one point eight three (1.83) foot in width for a total of seventy point one four (70 14) square feet.
The location of said privilege shall be as shown on prints kept on file with the Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection and the Office of the City Clerk.
Said privilege shall be constructed in accordance with plans and specifications approved by the Department of Planning and Development and Department of Transportation (Office of Underground Coordination).
This grant of privilege in the public way shall be subject to the provisions of Section 10-28-015 and all other required provisions of the Municipal Code of Chicago.
The grantee shall pay to the City of Chicago as compensation for the privilege #1130482 herein granted the sum of four hundred ($400 00) per annum in advance.
A 25% penalty will be added for payments received after due date
The permit holder agrees to hold the City of Chicago harmless for any damage, relocation or replacement costs associated with damage, relocation or removal of private property caused by the City performing work in the public
