ORDINANCE
BE 3T ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:
SECTION 1. Section 4-60-010 of the Municipal Code of Chicago is hereby amended by inserting the underscored language, as follows:
4-60-010 Definitions.
Whenever the following words and phrases are used in this chapter, they shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them in this section:

"Riverwalk Venue liquor license" means a license for the retail sale of alcoholic liquor for consumption at an approved location on the Chicago Riverwalk as defined in Section 4-60-074.
"Single serving container" means a single container of wine or liquor that holds less than 25 fluid ounces (739 milliliters), or a single container of beer or malt liquor that holds less than 41 fluid ounces (1,213 milliliters), but does not mean a manufacturer's package containing more than one container of beer, malt liquor, wine, or liquor that is sold as a single unit.

SECTION 2. Section 4-60-140 of the Municipal Code of Chicago is hereby amended by deleting the language struck-through and inserting the underscored language, as follows:
4-60-140 Prohibited activities.

(I) No holder of a package goods license shall sell, permit to be sold, or give away a single serving container containers of wino or liquor thot hold loss than 25 fluid ounces (739 milliliters), or singlo containers of beer or malt liquor that hold less than 41 fluid ounces (1,213 milliliters) between 12:00 a.m. (midnight) and 7:00 a.m. or the legally established hour when the licensee may commence the sale of package goods, whichever is later. The restriction of this subsection does not apply to a manufacturer's package containing more than one container of boer, malt liquor, wine, or liquor that is sold as a singlo unit. A licensee open after midnight shall post a sign visible in the area of the sales register clearly communicating the prohibition on the sole aftor midnight of single containore described in this subsection.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon passage and publication.
