Your Committee on Transportation and Public Way begs leave to report and recommend that Your Honorable Body pass An amendment to an ordinance passed by the City Council of the City of Chicago for Urban Pooch Life Center on July 6, 2011 and printed upon page 1563 of the C.J.P. of the City of Chicago is hereby amended by deleting and adding language regarding number of awnings and compensation. This ordinance was referred to the Committee on July 28, 2011.
 
This recommendation was concurred unanimously by a viva voce vote of the members of the Committee with no dissenting vote.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:
 
 
Section 1:
 
 
The ordinance passed by the City Council of the City of Chicago for URBAN POOCH CANINE LIFE CENTER is here by Aihended by deleting the words:
 
"to maintain and use four (4) awnings
 
Said awnings at N. Ravenswood measure(s): One (1) at nine point eight (9.8) feet in length and four (4) feet in width for a total of thirty-nine point two (39.2) square feet.
 
Said awnings at N. Ravenswood measure(s): One (1) at five point nine (5.9) feet in length and four (4) feet in width for a total of twenty-three point six (23.6) square feet.
the sum of one hundred seventy-five ($175.00) per annum" and inserting in their place the words: "to maintain and use two (2) awnings
the sum of twenty-five ($25.00) per annum'
 
 
Section 2:

The applicant referenced above has requested the use of the public right-of-way for a awning(s). An ordinance has been prepared by the Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection - Business Assistance Center - Public Way Use Unit for presentation to the City Council. Because this request was made for properties located in your ward, as approved by you as per the attached, I respectfully request that you introduce the attached ordinance at the next City Council meeting.
