ORDINANCE

 

 

WHEREAS, On November 21, 2017 the City Council of the City of Chicago adopted the Year XLIV Community Development Block Grant Ordinance (the "Year XLIV CDBG Ordinance"); and

 

WHEREAS, The City, through its Department of Family and Support Services ("DFSS"), desires to reallocate $119,925 in funding to existing Workforce Service agencies. These funds were originally awarded to Inspiration Corporation, which declined the award; and

WHEREAS, The City, through DFSS, desires to reallocate $30,000 in funding to Senior Service agencies. These funds were originally awarded to the Coalition of Limited English Speaking Elderly, Chicago Iris Immigrant Support, and Housing Opportunities and Maintenance for the Elderly, which declined the awards; now, therefore,

 

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:

 

 

SECTION 1. The above recitals are expressly incorporated into and made a part of this ordinance.

 

■ SECTION 2. The Year XLIV CDBG Ordinance, as amended, is hereby further amended by striking the words and figures and adding the words and figures indicated in Exhibit A attached hereto.

SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its passage and approval.
