CELEBRATING THE LIFE OF AN EXTRAORDINARY MAN MR. LEARTHUR (LEE) DUNLAP
WHEREAS, on Thursday, August 6,2020, Mr. LeArthur (Lee) Dunlap was called home by the Great JAM, "Come for j have prepared a place specifically for thee a mansion the size of a nation where your soul will find eternal rest. As you enter into your hew Heavenly Home there you willfinddistinctiveplatinum framed paintings of every life that you have touched." Instantaneously, Mr. LeArthur (Lee) Dunlap lifted his hands upward towards his Heavenly Father as his soul connected with Jesus Christ. The Angels stood by Heaven's Gate shouting with an exuberant voice, "Welcome Home Mr. LeArthur (Lee) Dunlap!"
WHEREAS, the bible says, "A good man's steps are ordered by the Lord." Without a shadow of doubt in my mind, I know Mr. Dunlap life was ordained by God. He exemplified the character of a man of great integrity, peace, faith and undying love for all mankind. His lifestyle resembled a Warrior prepared for battle, a true Intercessor and one who passionately shared his expertise and thorough understanding about historical events and political affairs at any given moment; and
WHEREAS, at this moment, I speak with great confidence, when I say, "LeArthur affectionately known as Lee first name meant much more than your average name." Every letter in his first name stood for something; L stands for a very well-respected Leader in the eyes of everyone that he encountered. E stands for Eager to serve our country with every facet of his being. A stands for Ambitious he always aimed towards completing his goals with a spirit of excellence. R stands for Relatable he constantly envisioned himself in the shoes .of others. T stands for teachable without resistance. H stands for Honest he offered the truth in love. U stands for Unique in the way he shared his life with us. R stands Radical, his very existence changed places around the country for the better; and
WHEREAS, today, let us not say good-bye but instead stand together and say, Lord we are grateful for your very presence even in the midst of our tears and deep-rooted sorrow. We desire nothing more than to give you Glory for the life of Mr. LeArthur (Lee) Dunlap. We ask Lord that you teach us how to love you and follow your instructions as Mr. Dunlap taught us through his own life. Though, we wished and prayed that this day would not exist - we find assurance in knowing that one day we shall meet him again; and

BE IT RESOLVED that we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago will gather together on, the 9th Day ofSeptember, 2020 and extend our deepest condolences to the, family and friends of Mr. LeArthur (Lee) Dunlap.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution was prepared by 21st Ward Alderman Howard B. Brookins, Jr. and a more suitable copy will be presented at alater date tp the family of the Mr. LeArthur (Lee) Dunlap.
