CELEBRATING THE LIFE OF AN INCREDIBLE WOMAN
MRS. DOLORIS ELLIS
WHEREAS, on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, Mrs. Doloris Ellis was called home by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, "Come for I have prepared a place specifically for thee. A mansion designed with flawless diamonds, precious rubies and exquisite pearls." Instantaneously, Mrs. Ellis lifted her right hand and her soul connected with Jesus Christ. Her loving husband who preceded her in death stood by the Gate of Heaven and shouted, "My wife is home!"
WHEREAS, a wise woman builds a house but a fool plucks it down with her hands. "Without a shadow of a doubt in our minds, we know Mrs. Doloris Ellis always shared words of encouragement in her home. She was a true intercessor and believed strongly in the power of prayer. Mrs. Ellis home and family was always her first ministry;
and
WHEREAS, every letter in Mrs. Doloris Ellis first name stood for something: D stands for Determined to fulfill every assignment in the spirit of excellence. O stands for Effective in reaching people that most would not walk near. L stands for Lived her life to the fullest and never allowed anyone to disturb her peace in God. O stands for Optimistic about her community when others had lost hope. R stands for Reliable she made herself available whenever someone called upon her and even beyond. I stands for Impeccable she believed her apparel should always represent a woman of class. S stands for Sacrifice she gave of her time unselfishly without complaint; and
WHEREAS, today, let us not say good-bye but instead say in unison, "Thank you Father for the moments you have allowed us to spend with Mrs. Doloris Ellis. It is our hope that we can live out the legacy that she sowed into the hearts and minds of others. Though our hearts are grieving the loss of her physical presence we know that if we live according to the Word of God one day we shall all meet her again; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the members of City Council will gather on the 20th Day of September 2018 A.D., to express their sincere condolences to Mrs. Doloris Ellis loving daughter, Ms. Allison G. Ellis.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy be prepared and presented at a later date to the family of Mrs. Doloris Ellis.
