Ordered, that the Commissioner of Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection is hereby authorized to issue a permit to PRADO TRAVEL AGENCY (Permittee) to construct, maintain, and use one (1) Awning(s) over the public way attached to the structure located at 10603 S. Ewing Ave. for a period of five (5) years from and after 11/15/2009 in accordance with the ordinances of the City of Chicago and the plans and specifications filed with the Commissioner of Transportation and approved by the Commissioner of Buildings and the Division Marshal in charge of the Bureau of Fire Prevention. Said Awning(s) shall not exceed one (1) @ thirteen point five (13.5) feet in length and two point five (2.5) feet in width. The Permittee shall pay to the City of Chicago as compensation for the privilege Number 1089510 the sum of $50.00 per annum, in advance.
In the event the Permittee transfers title or vacates the premises, the Permittee shall, nevertheless, remain liable to the City of Chicago for the annual compensation until the Awning(s) is removed. The Permittee shall renew the privilege herein granted to the date of expiration. The Permittee shall protect, defend, indemnify and hold harmless the City of Chicago, its officers, agents and employees, against and from any expense, claim controversy, damage, personal injury, death, liability judgment, or obligation arising out of the construction, repair, replacement, cleaning, use maintenance or operation of the Awning(s) arising out of and including the passive negligence of the City of Chicago.
This grant of privilege in the public way shall be subject to the provisions of Section 10-28-075 and all other required provisions of the Municipal Code of Chicago.
The permit shall be subject to amendment, modification or revocation by the Mayor of the City of Chicago and the Commissioner of Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection at their discretion without the consent of the Permittee. Upon termination of the privilege herein granted, by lapse of time or otherwise, the Permittee shall remove the Awning(s) without cost to the City of Chicago.
The privilege herein granted shall not be exercised until a permit shall have been issued by the Commissioner of Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection.


This order has been approved as to form and legality by the Corporation Counsel of the City of Chicago.
