CONGRATULATIONS EXTENDED TO POLICE OFFICER CLARENCE PENDELTON JR. ON RETIREMENT FROM THE CHICAGO POLICE DEPARTMENT

 

 

 

WHEREAS, On March 4, 2017, Police Officer Clarence Pendelton Jr. retired from the Chicago Police Department following twenty-two years of dedicated public service; and

.:>.- '; WHEREAS, Police Officer Clarence Pendelton Jr., Star. #5490, retires as a valued member of the 3rd District; and

WHEREAS, Dedication to and fulfillment of the motto of the Chicago Police Department "We Serve and Protect" - exacts a substantial physical and emotional toll not only on the officers who must daily cope with the stress and danger of being life's arbitrator for countless citizens, but also oh their family members; and

•     '■■ WHEREAS, Throughout a long and distinguished tenure, Officer Clarence Pendelton Jr. upheld the finest traditions pf law enforcement community and his hard work; commitment and dedication to duty earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and. the communities he protected; and

WHEREAS, Police Officer Clarence Pendelton Jr. devoted twenty-two years of his life • in public service to the people Pf the City of Chicago and in doing so has personally ensured that the City of Chicago is the safe, healthy and vibrant community it is today; arid .

; ,. ! , WHEREAS, The. leaders of this great City of Chicago are. cognizant of the great debt , owed pur public servants, and extend our sincerpst gratitude to the long and prolific career of Police Officer Clarence Pendelton Jr.; now, therefore     : ; . ; . :'

Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of
Chicago gathered here this 13

twenty-two years of work in service to the people of the City of Chicago, and express our
