RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, James D. Shew has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at'the age of 73 to his eternal reward; and >
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Alderman of the 11 th Ward; and
WHEREAS, James D. Shew, dearly beloved husband of Constance C. Somers Shew; devoted father of James (Christy) Shew, Jr., Daniel (PauJa) Shew, John Shew, Dave Shew, and Michael (Margaret) Shew; cherished grandfather of Sarnantha (Koty, U.S.A.) Bennett, John Shew, Jr., Holly Shew, Cassie Shew, Ryan Shew, Michael Shew, and Elizabeth Shew; great-grandfather of Emily Shew, Emmalynn Bennett, Arrianna Ruiz, and Nash Bennett;'Preceded in death by his parents, Noah Felix and Stella E. Byrd Shew, Sr.; loving brother of late.Margaret (Al) Swederski, late Frarikie (late Carol) Shew, late Noah (Shirley) Shew, Jr., late Sammy (Virginia) Shew, Fred (Nancy) Shew, Frieda (late Charles) Bonik, late John Shew, Richard (Janet) Shew, Sandra (Jody) Catron, and Libby (late Daniel) Abbatoy; dear brother in law of Mary (late Charles "Sarge") Robinson; uncle and friend of many; and
WHEREAS, James was resident of the South Side of Chicago-Canaryvillc neighborhood for sixty years; he retired from the Wrigley Gum Company after thirty years of dedicated service. Proud member of Canaryville Club for seventeen years; and
WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared James to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will : never forget; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of ■. ,.y.'-Chicago gathered here this twenty first of April 2021, do hereby express pur sorrow on the death of James D. Shew and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the
