CELEBRATING THE LIFE OF A REMARKABLE WOMAN OF FAITH
MS. VANNIE WYATT
WHEREAS, Ms. Vannie Wyatt was called home by the Great LAM, "Come for I have prepared a place specifically for thee, a mansion the sjze of a city and each room is shelved with your favorite artwork and elegantly framed photographs of every person's life that you have touched. As you cross the threshold of your new home, there you will find spotless floors lined with flawless diamonds, precious rubies and the most exquisite pearls incomparable to anything created by mankind." Instantaneously, Ms. Wyatt beautiful soul connected with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The Angels stood by Heaven's Gate shouting with an exuberant voice, "Ms. Vannie Wyatt has made her way to us!"
WHEREAS, the scripture states, "She is clothed with strength and dignity and she Can laugh at the days to come;" {Proverbs 31:25) we can ;all attest to the fact, Ms. Vannie Wyatt was an excellent mother and grandmother, the perfect friend, neighbor and Block Club President for a number of years in the 21st Ward, Her faithfulness and consistency opened doors for Ms. Wyatt to achieve many great things in her community and throughout the City of Chicago. Ms. Wyatt was a testament that having faith in God all things are possible.and her life always reflected it; and
WHEREAS, at this moment as we reflect on the awesomeness of the great Woman of Faith, also affectionately known in the earth as a Powerful Speaker for the Rights of her Community; I will say, "Ms. Wyatt's commitment to praying the scriptures and serving people everywhere is one of the purest examples of true and fervent ministry. She never wavered in her faith instead she remained steadfast, unshakable and unmovable no matter the circumstances." May we as men, women, and children with titles and positions across this;sanctuary continue to stand in the gap as Ms. Vannie Wyatt did month after month and year after year for others until the Lord said to her, "My good and faithful servant I am well pleased with thee now is your time for eternal rest;" and
WHEREAS, on this day, let us take a stand as we say thank you God for loaning us this beautiful soul, my constituent and your loved one Ms. Vannie Wyatt. In the days ahead let us remember to ask God to teach us to love people the way Ms. Wyatt so consistently did all the days of her natural life. While, I know within my heart that none in this sanctuary wished this day would be so soon, one thing we can find great consolation in is one day we shall meet her again; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the members of City Council will gather together on the 15th Day of March, 2023 A.D., and hereby express their sincere condolences to the loving and devoted daughter, Patsy (Eugene); her granddaughter, Mounia (Na'Mar); and her great grandson, Eugene; and to the host of extended family, neighbors and friends; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution was prepared by 21st Ward Alderman Howard B. Brookins, Jr., and a more suitable copy will be presented to the family of Ms, Vannie Wyatt at a later date,
