A RESOLUTION
To honor Jon Bruss, the Past President of Advocate Trinity Hospital and the work that Advocate Trinity Hospital has done for the community.
  1. WHEREAS, Advocate Trinity Hospital, located at 2320 E. 93rd Street in the city of
  2. Chicago, is a short-term acute-care facility that provides healthcare to local communities
  3. in southeastern Chicago;
  4. WHEREAS, Advocate Trinity Hospital was first opened in 1895 and now serves over
  5. 90,000 patients a year, while earning a HealthGrades recognition with five-star ratings for
  6. pulmonary and stroke care;
  7. WHEREAS, Jon Bruss has retired as the president of Advocate Trinity Hospital, where
  8. he has served for the last 7 years although serving the hospital for an honorable thirty-
  9. seven year career in leadership positions spanning from Admitting Manager to Vice
  10. President to President;
  11. WHEREAS, under Jon Bruss's leadership, Trinity has seen dramatic operational
  12. improvements as evidenced by double digit increases in health outcomes, associate
  13. satisfaction, physician satisfaction, patient satisfaction, and philanthropy;
  14. WHEREAS, Jon spearheaded the improvement of Trinity's financial performance that
  15. has resulted in a more than $ 12 million dollar improvement compared to baseline;
  16. WHEREAS, through his strategic requests, Advocate Health Care has invested more
  17. than 80 million dollars to provide more advanced clinical services and facility upgrades
  18. at Trinity; and
  19. WHEREAS, Jon has been an inspirational model of Advocate'^^£p^lu^.|)^
