CELEBRATING THE LIFE OF AN EXTRAORDINARY WOMAN MRS. WILFREDA FLOWERS
WHEREAS, on Thursday, December 2,2021, Mrs. Wilfreda Flowers affectionately known as Freda was called home by her. Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, "Come for I have prepared a place specifically for thee. A mansion the sizeofa country where your soul will find eternal rest. As you cross the threshold of your new home there you will find bookshelves with exquisitely framed books and journals that you have authored. A few steps nearby are walls carved in diamonds displaying the photographs of the very lives that you have touched. Immediately, tears began streaming down the face of Mrs. Flowers and thereafter her soul connected with the Great 1 AM. The Angels stood by Heaven's Gale and shouted with an exuberant voice, "The Apple of God's Eye is coming home!"
WHEREAS, those who sat under the tutelage of Mrs, Wilfreda Flowers respected her confidence in trusting the scriptures and discernment about matters that appeared intolerable to most. Undoubtedly I can say, Freda's lifestyle encouraged many to walk in integrity and purpose no matter the obstacles presented before them. She was a woman of her word and one that could lead thousands to God just by her smile; and
WHEREAS, in this difficult season of your lives may your hearts experience the strength and peace of God which surpasses your own understanding every second of your day. As you continue the legacy of Mrs. Wilfreda Flowers affectionately known as Freda, remember many are called but few are chosen. The Lord has prepared and equipped each of you for the journey in ways you have never imagined; and
WHEREAS, today, let us not say good-bye but instead stand together and say in unison, "Thank you Lord for every moment that you have allowed us to spend in the presence of Mrs. Wilfreda Flowers." Though our hearts are grieving the absence of her physical presence we know that if we live according to your Word one day we shall all meet her again; and
BE IT RESOLVED that this resolution will be presented before the Mayor and the members of City Council on the 15"' Day of December 2021 A.D., and herein they express their sincere condolences to the family and friends of Mrs. Wilfreda Flowers; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy be prepared and presented at a later date to the family of Mrs. Wilfreda Flowers affectionately known as Freda.
