CONGRATULATIONS EXTENDED TO POLICE OFFICER STEVEN J. GALE ON RETIREMENT FROM THE CHICAGO POLICE DEPARTMENT
. WHEREAS, On January 16, 2017, Police Officer Steven J. Gale retired from the Chicago Police.Department following twenty-nine years of dedicated public service; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed, of this occasion .by the Honorable Willie B. Cochran, Alderman of the 20th Ward; and
;¦ WHEREAS, Police Officer Steven J. Gale, Star #03789, retires as a valued member of
the:2nd District; and - .
' WHEREAS, Dedication to and fulfillment of the hiotto of the Chicago Police Department'.-'-".We Serve and Protect" - exacts a substantial physical and emotional toll not only oil the officers" who must daily cope with the stress and danger of being life's arbitrator for countless citizens, but aisb on their family members; and
. WHEREAS, Throughout a long and distinguished tenure, Officer Steven J. Gale upheld the finest traditions of law- enforcement community and his. hard work, commitment and . dedication to duty earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and the comriiunities he protected; arid .
WHEREAS, Police Officer Steven J. Gale devoted twenty-nine years of his life in public service to the people of the City of Chicago and in. doing so has personally ensured that the City of Chicago is thesafe, healthy and' vibrant community it is today; and-
WHEREAS* The leaders of this great City of Chicago, are cognizant of the great debt owed our public servants, and extend our sincerest gratitude to the long and prolific career of Police Officer Steven J. Gale; now, therefore
