WHEKEAS, Of the myriad/available/career path^ that dream/, there/ are/but a-few through/ which/faithful execu^ responsibilities offers assurance/ that those/ who- choose/ other paths wibb in fact have/ a/ legitimate/ opportunity to- achieve/ their portion of the/Vream/; and/
WHEKEAS, Though seemingly fixed/ and/ inviolable, the/ complex/ social/ fabric tf oar great metropolis could/ be easily torn/ asunder were/ it not for the/ guardians of the public welfare/, indeed/, the guardians tf the "AmericanVream/"; and/
WHEKEAS, Vedication to the fulfillment of the motto of the Chicago-Police/ Department- "We/ Serve/ and Protect' -exacts a substantial physical/ and emoticmabtolb not only on/the officers who- must daily cope/ with/ the stress and danger of being- life/'s arbiters for countless citizens, but also on the family members who-live/with/the very real knowledge that their husband or father may never return/from/ any give- workday; and
WHEKEAS, Through/ p rofessionallsm/ and sacrifice, the membersofthe
Chicago- Police Department have/ provided us with one of the safest cities in
the United/ States tfAmerica, allowing-each/tf us to pur sue our own/version
