SALUTE TO MICHAEL M. CHIOROS
WHEREAS, Michael M. Chiorios, an outstanding citizen and member of his community, will be feted as the 2010 Impact Award winner at the Real Estate Forum' 10 dinner to be hosted by the Lincoln Park Builders of Chicago at the Germania Place, November 11, 2010; and
WHEREAS, Since the 1960s, Michael M. Chiorios has been active in the real estate industry. He has been a partner with William, John and B.J. Vranas for more than three decades and has been involved with the development of more than three million square feet of commercial and industrial space and close to 3,000 residential apartments; and
WHEREAS, As Vice President of the Lincoln Park Builders of Chicago, Michael M. Chiorios has represented the interests of his industry in addressing legislative and regulatory issues as well as working on issues that directly affect this city's citizens such as Community Policing and Safety; and
WHEREAS, Since 1997, Michael M. Chiorios has been on the board of the City of Chicago's Low Income Housing Trust Fund. He is also a past president of the Union League Club Board of Directors; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Mary Ann Smith, Alderman of the 48th Ward, has apprised this august body of the significant honor bestowed on Michael M. Chiorios: now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered together this 10th Day of November, 2010 AD, do hereby salute Michael M. Chiorios for his 33 years of service to the real estate industry in Chicago and extend our heartiest congratulations on receiving the 2010 Impact Award.
