RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, God in His infinite wisdom has called Michael J. McCafferty to his eternal reward; and

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Marty Quinn, Alderman of the 13^th Ward; and

WHEREAS, Michael J. McCafferty, age 55. Loving father of Peter and Catherine. Beloved son of Judy and the late Patrick CPD. Dear brother of Patrick CPD (Anita) and Mary Carmody. Fond uncle of Kayla, Bridget and Claire. Started his career as a Chicago Police Officer, worked his way through law school to become an attorney and then taught as a professor for 15 years at Calumet College of St. Joseph. Michael J. McCafferty leaves a legacy of faith, dignity, compassion and love; now, therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the Chicago City Council gathered here this fourteenth day of December, 2016, hereby express our sorrow on the death of Michael J. McCafferty and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy.
