RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Mary Terese Vujic has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 72 to her eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Nicole T. Lee, Alderwoman of the 11th Ward; and
WHEREAS. Cherished mother of John Vujic, who was her devoted caregiver for the past 10 years. Mate Vujic and Ante (Kelly) Vujic and grandmother of Luka and Ana. Beloved daughter of the late Ante and Eva (Peso) Balich. Loving sister of Joe (Linda) Balich and Anne (Gary) Jones. Treasured aunt of Tony (Cheryl) Balich. Carolyn Balich, Yana Jones (Erik) Stanton, Sveta Jones Kelchner, the late Erik Jones. Elena Jones (Jeremy) Reese. Dear cousin, friend and neighbor; and
WHEREAS, Mary was a lifelong faithful servant ofthe Lord and her family, a devoted teacher to many students over a 35-year career at Nativity of Our Lord, St. David's, Sacred Heart and James Ward Elementary, and a member ofthe Marian Society at St. Jerome Croatian Catholic Church; and
WHEREAS. Her love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Mary to her family members, friends and all who knew her. and enabled her to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago gathered here this twentieth of July 2022, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Mary Terese Vujic and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
