WHEREAS, God in His infinite wisdom has called Terrence Collins to his eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Marty Quinn, Alderman of the 13th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Terrence "Terry" Collins, Age 77, passed away on August 2, 2020, US Navy Veteran, Retired Chicago Fire Department-Battalion Chief. Beloved husband of Esther (nee Narea) Collins. Loving father of Terrence "Terry"(Jennifer) Collins and Brian (Amanda) Collins. Fond grandfather of Terrence "TJ" Collins, Jr. and Aidan Collins. Beloved son ofthe late James and Anna Collins. Dear brother of Mary Ellen Collins and the late Jimmy (the late Helen) Collins. Fond brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend of many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him; and
WHEREAS, Terrence Collins leaves a legacy of faith, dignity, compassion and love; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the Chicago City Council gathered here this ninth day of September, 2020, hereby express our sorrow on the death pf Terrence Collins and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy.
