WHEREAS, Dedication to and fulfillment of the. motto of the Chicago Police Department -"We Serve and Protect" - exacts a substantial physical and emotional toll not only •' on the officer's wh(3/must daily;cope with the stress and danger of being life's arbitrator for. countless citizens, but also on their family members; and
WHEREAS, Throughout a long and distinguished tenure, Officer Ronya Starks upheld the finest traditions of law enforcement community and her hard work, . commitment and dedication to duty earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and the communities she protected; and
