WHEREAS, On May 29, 2011, Tiffany Cherise Caruthers will be giving her first musical concert at Monument of Faith Evangelistic Church, 2750 West Columbus Avenue; and

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of this by 18^th Ward Alderman Lona Lane; and

WHEREAS, Tiffany, a 12 year old student at the Veterans Middle School has been on the honor roll since first grade; and

WHEREAS, Tiffany displayed her musical talent by showing an interest in the key board at an early age. She and her sister started rehearsing together when she was eight years old, then she met Mr. Jones who has been her teacher for two years, and has taught her well; and

WHEREAS, Her favorite interests are basketball, skating and watching movies.

WHEREAS, Tiffany an 18^th Ward resident, is a role model to other students. Her accomplishments are due to her commitment to musical performances and her unwavering family support; now therefore

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here in assembly this fourth day of May, 2011, A.D., do hereby express our congratulations to Tiffany Caruthers on her first musical concert; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to Tiffany Cherise Caruthers as a remembrance of this happy occasion.
