Resolution Recognizing Dr. Kyle Denise Wade, DN
WHEREAS, The Members of Chicago City Council and Edgewater community lost a valued community member, on October 12, 2019 with the passing of Dr. Kyle Denise Wade, DN; and
WHEREAS, Kyle Wade was the adored daughter of Lucius Wade and Veronica Shaw Wade. Cherished niece to her four aunts; Kimberly Shaw Dad, Tracie Shaw, Mary Beth Britts and Ann Marie Matthews. Beloved by her nieces, nephews, cousins and friend who will miss her greatly.
WHEREAS, Kyle was an avid learner who attended Kenwood High School, in Chicago, Class of 1975. Kyle Received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Illinois Springfield in 1983. Kyle pursued her interest in holistic medicine and received her doctorate from the National College of Naprapatic Medicine in Chicago, in 1985; and
WHEREAS, Kyle received several certificates and awards regarding her Naprapathic Practice she opened on 2241 S. Michigan Avenue and 4007 West Lawrence Avenue in Chicago. Kyle served as active board member ofthe State of Illinois Naprapathic Certification Program; and
WHEREAS, Kyle was an involved member of the Delta Kappa Gama Society International, a society for key women educators. Kyle pursued her passion for educational outreach and taught on a Navajo Indian Reservation in Shiprock, New Mexico for over two years; and
WHEREAS, Kyle was a tireless fighter for the community, youth and families. Kyle founded The Polite and Powerful Children's Foundation with the mission to create an educational program to assist children and youth in the development of communication, ethics, etiquette and social skills; and
WHEREAS, Kyle was a devoted community activist who served as a Page in the 83rd & 84th Illinois Senate and served as a Board of Election Judge for over 10 years. Kyle was also a vital member of the Uptown Chamber of Commerce; and
