CONGRATULATIONS EXTENDED TO 007* DISTRICT CROSSING GUARD PATRICIA BILLINGS ON RETIREMENT FROM CHICAGO POLICE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, Crossing Guard Patricia Billings ,, retired from the Chicago Police Department on July 31,2016 following twelve years of dedicated public service; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of this special event by Toni Foulkes, Alderman of the 16th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Throughout her long and distinguished tenure Guard Billings upheld the finest traditions of the enforcement community and her hard work, commitment and dedication to duty earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues; and
WHEREAS, Guard Billings is a valued member of the 007th Police District community and her presence will be sorely missed. She has earned the respect not only of her colleagues, but also of the grateful residents of the 007th District; and
WHEREAS, the leaders of this great City of Chicago are cognizant of the great debt owed our public servants; now, therefore,
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered this first day of November 2016, do hereby express our gratitude and heartiest congratulations to 007th District Crossing Guard Patricia Billings as she retires from twelve years of outstanding service to the people of this great city and we extend our very best wishes for her continued success and fulfillment; and
