RESOLUTION

 

 

WHEREAS, God in His infinite wisdom has called Francis Calderon to his eternal reward; and

 

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Marty Quinn, Alderman of the 13th Ward; and

 

WHEREAS, Francis "Paco" Calderon was a retired Chicago Police Officer of 31 years and a devoted member of AA for 22 years. Beloved husband of Nancy Calderon (nee Pawlak) for 41 years. Devoted son of Esperanza (the late Frank) Calderon and son-in-law of Dolly Pawlak. Loving father of Melissa (Denny) Gasteier, Victoria (Robert) Gaona, and Patricia (David) Dunski. Adored Papa of George, Sophia, Abbie, Logan, Sammi, and Baby Olivia. Fond brother and brother-in-law of the late Fernando (Marilyn), Isabel Aguirre, Eva (John) Ontiveros, Rita (Manuel) Franco, Sarah (Phil) Morales, Lydia Cruz, Alicia (Dion) Reyes, the late Steven (Debbie) Pawlak, Sharon (Victor) Ciapas, and Marty (Donna) Pawlak. Cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews. Francis Calderon leaves a legacy of faith, dignity, compassion, dedication and love; now, therefore,

 

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the Chicago City Council gathered here this twentieth day of September 2018, hereby express our sorrow on the death of Francis Calderon and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy be presented to the
family of Francis Calderon.
