RESOLUTION HONORING MOLLIE JACKSON ON HER 100 BIRTHDAY
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that the City Council of the City of Chicago is hereby informed of the observance of Mollie Jackson's 100th birthday; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of this prestigious occasion by the Honorable JoAnn Thompson, Alderman of the 16th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Molly, an enthusiastic and much-loved resident of Chicago's great 16th Ward community, will celebrate her Centennial Birthday on Friday April 4, 2014, thereby reaching a milestone few are fortunate to achieve. Mollie's generation lines consist of her immediate family with 4 generations. It starts with her 2 daughters, 12 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great- great grandmother, a cherished friend of many and good neighbor to all, Mollie Jackson richly deserves the warm and fond wishes of her family members and friends as she marks her 100th Birthday; and
WHEREAS, Cognizant ofthe history to which Mollie Jackson has both witnessed and contributed, the Chicago City Council believes that Mollie is richly deserving of the adulation and good wishes she is offered as she celebrates entering her second century; and
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this thirtieth day of April, 2014, do hereby extend to Mollie Jackson our best and most fervent wishes for a grand celebration worthy of her One Hundredth Birthday, and
