RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, David Lee Thompson has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 81 to his eternal reward; and

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his.passing by the Honorable Patrick.D. Thompson, Alderman of the 11th Ward; and

WHEREAS, David Lee Thompson was born to Floyd Thompson and Dorothy (Matchelt) Thompson, survived by Nicky (Pam) Thompson, daughters Mary Williamson, Lisa McCarthy; Vickie Thompson (Henry) Whitaker, 10.grandchildren, and 18 greatgrandchildren.; and

WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Dave to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council ofthe City of Chicago gathered here this twenty first of July 2021, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of David Lee Thompson and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and

Patrick D. Thompson Alderman, 11th Ward

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of David Lee Thompson.
