MEMORIAL RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that members of this Chamber learned of the death of Michael J. Cam on April 7, 2015, at the age of forty-two; and
WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of his passing by The Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Born on December 16,1972, this "King of the Road", was the beloved son of the late John R. and the late Bonnie S.; loving brother of Jody (Edward) Herrera; "brother" of Phil Wright; awesome uncle of Alyson and Danny Herrera and Dylan Wright; cherished Godfather of Kyle Wright and Sophie Mignogna; dear Godson of Gene and Cheryl "Chas" Wright; thoughtful nephew and cousin; and treasured friend to the many who had the pleasure of knowing him. Michael leaves a legacy of faith, dignity and love; and
WHEREAS, Michael was an active and vital member of his community who touched the lives of all who knew him through his kindness, generosity, heart and spirit. He will be deeply missed, but the memory of his character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved him; now, therefore,
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this sixth day of May, 2015, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Michael J. Cam and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
