RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Mickey Conino has retired from her position as the Assistant Director of Housing at the South East Chicago Commission a community organization whose mission is to work in collaboration with the1- University of Chicago and other institutions, businesses, and organizations to foster a spirit of community and to enhance the ongoing quality of life across the neighborhoods of Hyde Park, Woodlawn, Washington Park, Kenwood and Oakland;
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her retirement by Alderman William D. Burns; and
WHEREAS, previous to her 26 years of service to the South East Chicago Commission in the position of Assistant Director of Housing, she spent 10 years in the position of Executive Assistant for Julian Levy at the South East Chicago Commission; and
WHEREAS, Mickey has been a tireless advocate for the communities of Hyde Park, Kenwood, Oakland, Woodlawn, and Washington Park during her 36 years of dedication in her positions at the South East Chicago Commission; and
WHEREAS, Mickey has been a faithful member of her church community; now therefore

BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the Mayor and members of the Chicago City Council assembled this twenty-eighth day of July 2011, do hereby congratulate Mickey Conino on her retirement from the South East Chicago Commission, as well as the many years of service to her church community, and do hereby express our best wishes for her continued happiness, success and achievement; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Mickey Conino, and a copy for placement in the historical archives of the Commission.
