RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Heaven gained the most beautiful angel, Luz Maria Torres, who ascended into eternal life on February 6, 2017; and,
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by Alderman Ariel E. Reboyras; and,
WHEREAS, Luz Maria Torres was born in Tamaulipas, Tampico, Mexico on September 17, 1931 to Jose and Eufracia. She was the loving mother of Blanca Estela (Ramon) Arellano, Alberto Torres, (the late Jose Valentin) (Yon Nam) Torres and Javier (Sandra) Torres; and,
WHEREAS, Luz Maria Torres was the cherished grandmother of Estela (Cesar) Castanedo, Ramon (Laura) Arellano, Valentin (Raquel) Torres, Jose (Asenet) Torres, Fernando Torres and Nicolas Javier Torres. She was the beloved great grandmother of Paulina Arellano, Alejandro Arellano, Sara Castanedo and Christian Torres, llliana Christina Torres, Sayun Valentina Torres and Ryu Valentine Torres; and,
WHEREAS, Luz Maria Torres leaves a lasting legacy to all those she touched; and now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this 22th day of February 2017 A.D., do hereby commemorate Luz Maria Torres on her grace-filled life and do hereby express our condolences to her family; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to the family members of Luz Maria Torres.
