RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Geraldine "Gerri" A Koclanis has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God to her eternal reward; arid
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Alderman of the 11th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Geraldine "Gerri" A Koclanis (nee Murphy); Beloved wife of the late Dean; loving stepmom to Tammy (Paul) Cacciatore; proud gram to Alyson (Scott) O'Brien and Amanda (Mitchell) Fletcher; devoted great grandma to Tyler, Brandon, Norah, and Luke; preceded in death by her parents John J. Sr., and Madeline Murphy; dear sister of Calista, Clarence, Patrick, Robert, Donald, and John J. Jr.( the late MaryLou); loving aunt of Michele (Jason), Patrick (Lynn), John (the late Lisa), Tim (Sue), and Tom (Carrie); devoted mother by God to Kimberly Murphy; aunt, great aunt, great-great aunt to many; God mother of 8; cherished sister-in-law of Dawn (Larry) Grogan; and
WHEREAS, Geraldine was a Member of Senior Clubs; Armour, St. Anthony, Taylor Laurdison (Bpyce) 9th District Senior Advisory Group, Italian American Club, Nativity of Our Lord Seniors from 1998-2005; Friend of many and best friend forever of many; and
WHEREAS, Her love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Geraldine to her family members, friends and all who knew her, and enabled her to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago gathered here this twenty fourth of February 2021, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Geraldine and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Geraldine "Gerri" A Koclanis.
