TRIBUTE TO THE LIFE OF NORMAN LEO WHITE, JR.
WHEREAS, Almighty God, in His infinite wisdom, has called Norman Leo White, an outstanding public servant and member of his community, to his everlasting reward, Wednesday, January 23, 2013; and
WHEREAS, Born in Chicago, on January 9, 1967 to his loving parents Norman Leo White, Sr. and Jacqueline White, Norman Leo White Jr. began his life journey. He attended Luther South High School and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Northern Illinois University. He was a pledge of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity; and
WHEREAS, Mr. White dedicated 18 years of his career to The Art Institute of Chicago and held the position as Special Events Manager. He was also a dedicated employee of the United Parcel Service where he worked for more than twenty-six years; and
WHEREAS, Norman Leo White, Jr. and his loving wife Sharon shared many memorable memories, laughter and happiness which began the moment they met. Norman knew that Sharon was the love of his life and was determined to capture her heart and make her his loving wife. They were blessed with two daughters, Shanice and Nina; and
WHEREAS, Norman Leo White, Jr. leaves to cherish his memories and celebrate his accomplishments, his beloved wife, Sharon; daughters, Shancie and Nina; his mother, Jacqueline White, whom he had a very close and loving relationship with; five sisters, two aunts, four uncles, a wonderful mother-in-law, whom he loved dearly, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and many friends;
WHEREAS, The Honorable Michelle A. Harris, Alderman of the 8th Ward has apprised this august body of the passing of this outstanding member of the community; now therefore,
