RESOLUTTON
WHEREAS, Bishop Charles L. Little has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of eighty-seven; and
WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of his passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
WHEREAS, Bishop Charles L. Little was a widely admired member of the religious community and the devoted husband for fifty-four years of Corine; and
WHEREAS, Bishop Charles L. Little was the much-adored father of Grace, Linda, Thaddeus, and Valerie to whom he imparted many of the fine and noble qualities which he possessed in abundance; and
WHEREAS, Bishop Charles L. Little was the adoring grandfather of seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and
WHEREAS, A pillar of Chicago's African-American churches, Bishop Charles L. Little founded and presided over God's House for All Nations, which has flourished for nearly forty-five years; and
WHEREAS, Bishop Charles L. Little served in the U.S. Navy during World War II; and
WHEREAS, Fleeing racial persecution in the South, Bishop Charles L. Little came to Chicago during the 1940s, where he eventually began studying at the Moody Bible Institute; and
WHEREAS, Many followers of Bishop Charles L. Little felt that his piety helped heal them of illness and addiction; and
WHEREAS, Long before the women's liberation movement, Bishop Charles L. Little advocated to his congregation the value of, and the respect owed, to women; and
WHEREAS, Be it clothing, employment, advice or simply prayer, Bishop Charles L. Little was committed to the needs of his church; and
WHEREAS, Bishop Charles L. Little will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his many relatives, friends and colleagues; and
WHEREAS, To his beloved family, Bishop Charles L. Little imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore
